Miss Western 2020 Tarkwa,Nsuame Rep unveils projects to help provide quality health care, education and developing skills through training.


Miss Kesty Adepa Gyan Tarkwa Nsuaem Representative of this years Miss Western 2020 pageant show, has launched her projects aimed at providing quality health care especially to children in The Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality.

The project was also aimed at empowering teenage mothers who had dropped out of school as a result of pregnancy to stand on their feet again and become productive and also bringing free hands skills to her municipality.

Miss Kesty addressing a durbar of Chiefs, Queen mothers, Pastors and people of Tarkwa Nsuaem at The Nathan Congregation Presbyterian Church at Bonsa said the projects under the ADEPA’s Foundation” in Collaboration with “ASEDA Foundation” would offer a helping hand to the less privileged in society and the youth with free hand skills training like beads making, carpentry, dress making, hair dressing etc.........Adding that “If a free society can not help the many who are poor, it can not save the few who are rich” 
     
“Thousands of Ghanaians living in deprived communities and below the minimum wage in poorer communities die of illness that can be very cheaply prevented or managed, including malaria, HIV, tuberculosis, diarrhoea and the newly deadly virus covid-19.Tens of millions more suffer from persistent under nutrition or parasitic diseases that cause them to be less mentally and physically capable than they otherwise would be.
     
She said as a nurse, she is going to educate the people of her community if possible the municipality as a whole and get all children to receive the basic schedule of Immunizations.
     
Miss Kesty said the Foundation would develop capacity building programmes and skills that will enhance and empower teenage mothers and organizing forums on sex education and other vital society problems like prostitution and drug addiction for the youth.
     
She said the Foundation would also help get modern facilities like hospitals, clinics schools and portable drinking water to deprived communities and also help the youth identify their potential talents to help them become better people in the future.
     
The Contestant expressed gratitude to the chiefs, Queen mother’s the people and organisers (EX-ONE ENTERTAINMENT)for giving her the platform to exhibit her skills and talents and also called for their support to make the project a successful one if she wins the competition or not but has the assurance she is going to be crown Miss Western 2020.

    Miss Kesty also launched “Face of Bonsa”, a unisex beauty pageant that seeks to promote and project the culture, tradition, customs, tourism and good morals of western region and to encourage the youth in Bonsa to participate in such competitions.
     
She is a practicing nurse and a graduate of the Esiama Nursing and Midwifery College, An Old student of Tarkwa SHS and has won many beauty pageant shows including “Miss WASON”
